The Dyson DC07 Vacuum Cleaner

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner is $399.  Compare this against our prices.  Simply put, we clobber it.

The DC07 is extremely easy to use. You simply hold down the base of the vacuum and the handle releases the cleaning head. No buttons or latches to hunt out.
The ergonomic handle helps keep strain off  twist points of the arm and the entire unit moves forward and backwards easily over any carpeted surface.

Some vacuums have a tendency to be harder to either push or pull; the Dyson DC07 moves easily in either direction, making it easier to use than most.

The Dyson DC07 is well engineered.  An example of the ingenuity of design is is the plastic “guard” at the front of the vacuum head, just before theintake  slot. This pushes objects out of the way without sucking them into the beater bar assembly.  This is especially nice when trying to vacuum around other fabrics, such as area rugs and bedding that touches the floor, or  working around other power cords.

Like the other Dyson models, the DC07 picks up large debris and smaller, hard-to-vacuum soils such as kitty litter, sand, etc. Many vacuums tend to lift these soils into the beater bar assembly and dance them around, only to drop them onto the floor.

You easily view the soil removed from your surface in the clear, bagless canister. Don’t be surprised if you fill the units canister on your first use of the unit. The Dyson DC07's vacuum suction and airflow is superb.

This unit uses an HEPA filter, removing all matter of contaminants from the carpet and surrounding air.

The DC07 utilizes a 17-foot hose and removable wand. These are good for  edges and stairs. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you have a feel for the system, you will enjoy this feature.

The Dyson DC07 is a bit louder than expected. but it doesn’t  have the irritating, high-pitched whine heard from other units. The sound is “deeper” than most vacuums and pets don't seem to be as alarmed by this cleaner when compared to some of the  Dyson DC07 competitors.

The simple task of emptying the waste container is made more pleasant by the engineering behind this unit.  Simply hold the bagless canister over a trash receptacle and pull the release button at the top of the container. No more turning over a canister to dump the waste, receiving a puff-back of smelly soil in your face.

It doesn’t get any easier than this.  The Dyson DC07 is a leader among vacuum cleaners.  Consumer Reports gives the DC07 an excellent rating.
